Um…

Happy Sunday!

Today in church we talked about the story of Cain and Aibel.

In a nutshell…

  • Cain and Aibel both presented offerings to God.
  • God accepted Aibel’s, but not his brother Cain’s.
  • Cain was angry.
  • Cain took Aibel up a hill, and murdered him.

And on that note…

Happy Sunday!

Valentines Sunday

Well, I was thinking about what bible verse to post today, and I realized:

I don’t really know many bible verses by heart.

How sad is that?

Anyways, here’s one almost everyone knows:

-

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so whoever believes in him, may not perish but have everlasting life.

-John 3:16

Happy Valentines day!

Happy Sunday!

Lame Post Title ;o)

So today my club met and it was super-duper fun. It was our valentines event and we spent the majority of the time tackling each other followed by dancing, talking and snacking. We had a really fun time.

Well, Happy almost-practically Valentine’s Day!

That’s pretty much it, and I should be in bed since I have to be up around 7 tomorrow.. ;) (and I do;t eve like my church class!!!)

Goodnight!

Worst. Book. Ever.

Okay, so Thursday I spent the night at a friends house with the hope and goal to re-start and finish a horribly confusing book assigned to us in our honors history class.

Yuck.

This book made no sense. It was confusing, stupid, jumbled up, boring, oh, and written about 70 years ago.

Both my friend and I are very advanced, super quick readers, and It took us an hour to read the first 20 pages, and those were the easy ones! We had to stop and discuss almost every sentence, and it seemed that every section, (each chapter was divided into like six 30 page sections—terrible, I know) it became harder and more confusing to read.

There were no quotation marks ad it did not tell who was talking. It would randomly switch from subject to subject and used vocabulary “not-found” in our handy-dandy electric porta-dictionary.

I one paragraph, a sentence described (pointlessly) how a girls hair was like an angels silk. The next sentence stated that she couldn’t “hold anything down” and the next told how if she got wet than she’d get a cold, and if not a cold, than a fever. And that’s an easier one in more understandable terms.

In short, we hated it. We still hate it.

We spent hours ad hours miserably reading it before we were only 4 chapters away to the end and we had absolutely no idea what we were reading.

We looked up chapter summaries online.

I’m not looking forward to the test.

Anyways, after that we saw the movie “Valentines Day” and it was pretty cute. :)

I don’t really know of anything else…and I’m suddenly exhausted. So…

G’NITE!

Feeling Updated…

So I’m feeling pretty updated and happy today! I just love days like this.

I’m home enjoying being alone, I feel clean, comfy, I’m eating a deliciously healthy snack (Whole grain-wheat bread with PB and banana and a glass of milk)

Also, I’ve turned in my application, which my teachers reluctantly but yet happily filled out the forms for because thank goodness they love me…

I’ve caught up on make-up work, and I’m getting prepared for the next couple months worth of my own clubs invites and updating our website.

I’ve cleared my email, and now I’m listening to a joyful, upbeat, very catchy song that fits my mood to a point. (Hey Soul Sista by The Train)

Oh and here’s another song, it’s not too bad ;) (Orianthi- According to You)

Happy Wednesday Bloggers!

Llamas With Hats

This is super hilarious, created by the same person who made Charlie the Unicorn (But this is way better! I never like CTU anyways though) Enjoy!

BAD NEWS: So as you may have guessed, I have the flu. I woke up around 2:30am this morning with stomach pains, and well, you know what the flu is. It;s really been going around lately… and I didn’t get to sleep in with the 2 hour late start because I’ve been awake since 2:30am.

GOOD NEWS: Anyways, the good news is that we’re pretty sure it’s only a 24 hour virus.

BAD NEWS: I couldn’t my journalism application in…eep! Stupid flu…

GOOD NEWS: I discovered some other people who haven’t turned theirs in either, and I can still turn it in tomorrow. Also, I got it finished. (obviously)

BAD NEWS: I’ve been pigging out all day on junk because, well, that’s just what you do when your sick.

GOOD NEWS: I’ve always though fruit rollups were the best in the threesome (Gushers, by the foot, rollups) because they have the best flavor etc., etc. And today I discovered yet another way to enjoy them slower. I used to just eat them rolled up sort of like a lollipop, but I discovered if you divide it into 3 squares and stick a square to your palm and just lick your hand… (HAHAHA) Well, it works, and you can still multitask. Like I’m typing with one on my palm right now. :-D

Well, that’s pretty much it for today…

G’bye!

Just Monday.

Well, not a really exciting day.

First of, I’m really excited because lately I’ve been eating breakfast every morning. And not just breakfast, but a good, semi-complete breakfast. (Whole grain wheat toast for grains, egg for protein, banana and blueberries for potassium, and orange juice with pulp. :)

Also, I’m mad at myself because I haven’t turned in my Journalism application yet for high school and it’s due in two days. Where did the time go?? I have it done, it’s just not typed. So, since we have a late-start tomorrow, (YAY!!!) I think I might type it before school.

Getting in to Journalism is really important to me for two reasons. Mainly, because I want to be in that class. The problem is, I’m most likely going to a private school next year. But I figured, What if I don’t? So I’m not taking any chances and I’m applying. The teacher says it’s not a big deal if I transfer as long as they know before school starts, which they would.

The other reason is I wanna see if I can! If I’m good enough, ya know?

Another thing: My partner and I finished our history project!

Also, a  friend and I are setting two other friends (who claim to hate each other, but it’s obviously just the opposite) up together. We’re tricking them in to meeting at Braum’s and having to sit through a romantic date complete with the 2-strawed milkshake and all!

Lastly, I’m really trying to earn some money. Not really for anything particular, just cause I like to have it available. I think a good amount to ALWAYS have in your wallet is $20 but I’m trying to seriously earn some bucks. :) So I’m getting serious about my allowance so I can have sort of a “steady income”  if you understand what I’m saying.

Well, that’s pretty much it and I’m REALLY supposed to be in bed, so…

NITE’!

Hidden Sins

I’d like to start off by saying the reason I haven’t posted in a while is because this computer was screwed up, as always.

Well, today my pastor preached about Moses and Joshua.

He told us about how when God became angry at Moses along the way to the promise land, He {GOD} took Moses up to the top of a mountain to where he could see the promise land, and had Moses die there, never allowing him to visit the sweet place.

He then told about how Joshua took lead and parted the Jordan river {an echo of when Moses parted the red sea} showing that God was with them.

He told our congregation about when Joshua and the people were told by God to march around their enemy’s town once for a few days while remaining completely silent except for their trumpets.

On the last day they marched around the town 7 times and then all yelled, shouted, and blew the trumpets loud.

He told us how the how their enemy’s town crumbled.

Our pastor continued to tell us the next part of the story. How Joshua and his people were told by God to burn all the enemy’s things, or they would be punished.

He told about how they came upon their next enemy, a ‘wimpy’ one. And how  they sent very few soldiers (about 2-3,000) because they expected a great victory.

He told us how they failed, And how many died. (About 36 I believe)

He went on telling us how Joshua lay on the ground and cried and prayed when he heard the bad news, and how God told him to get off the ground, and explained to Joshua that one of his people disobeyed his instructions and that if the sin was not destroyed then God would no longer be with them and they would continue to fail in battles.

When the man who disobeyed, Akin, confessed to stealing some silver, gold, and a fancy garment, he, his wife, and even his children were stoned.

The point of his sermon was to explain hidden sin. About how people say: “Oh, no one knows about this! It can’t hurt anyone!” but how it effects everyone. Family, friends, the entire church.

But he preached about how God will forgive us and all our sins if we go to him.

Happy Sunday.
